Fund
BASE will employ a variety of grantmaking schemes to fund locally-led climate solutions, designed to minimize the cost and time to obtain or prepare the relevant information to explain the climate evidence of a project, combining local and traditional knowledge with scientific data. By doing so, the initiative aims to unlock the potential of communities to drive impactful initiatives and promote effective climate action at the grassroots level.
Map of local climate solutions
The map presented here displays projects submitted to diverse BASE grant calls, showcasing those that have been accepted to be included here. It was created with the aim of showcasing locally led projects from the global south. It is important to note that inclusion on the map does not imply endorsement by BASE or confirmation that they are still active at present.
